Disafconco began when architect Elena Marchetti and furniture restorer Luca Bianchi combined their practices in a ground-floor space on Via Matteotti. They wanted a studio where drawings stayed pinned beside physical samples, so clients could argue about grain direction before invoices were raised.
That workshop mentality still defines how we hire: every designer spends time in the sample room, labelling batches and noting which suppliers answer emails on Monday mornings.
Team structure and daily rhythm
Four interior designers, two procurement coordinators, and a dedicated site supervisor form the core team, supported by freelance renderers when photorealistic visuals are required for planning submissions. Morning reviews happen around a central table where current projects are rotated so no file sits unattended for more than a week.
We cap active commissions at twelve simultaneously, which protects attention during installation phases when contractor questions arrive by phone.
Regional expertise without provincial taste
Our portfolio spans historic centro storico apartments with fresco fragments to new-build villas in Abano Terme, yet we avoid pastiche. Venetian terrazzo appears where it belongs structurally, not as a decorative default, and we specify underfloor heating layouts that respect original joist directions.

Continuing education and studio standards
Staff attend Salone del Mobile previews and regional fire-safety seminars annually, and we maintain an internal checklist for acoustic comfort in open-plan renovations. New hires shadow two projects from survey through handover before leading client meetings independently.

How to visit or begin a conversation
Studio visits are by appointment on Tuesdays and Thursdays, when the sample library is fully accessible and senior staff are present. Bring floor plans even if incomplete; rough dimensions help us suggest realistic scopes before formal proposals are written.
Initial consultations last ninety minutes and are billed at €185, credited toward your project fee if you proceed within sixty days.
